I'm excited to share this Same Day Edit! It was a beautiful and intimate wedding that took place last Thursday at another beautiful location in Orange County - the Laguna Cliffs Marriott. DeNeitra from Savvy Events did a fabulous job coordinating the day and all the details - everything turned out perfect! Carly from Carly Daniel Photography was also great to work with. There were a couple surprises on the day including a belly dancer performance which was a big hit! All in all it was a beautiful event. Thanks for allowing us to be a part of it Melissa & Hamid!

Alex & I are in Seattle enjoying a quick visit with my ginormous family! My Aunt's surprise 50th bday party was on Sunday and we just couldn't miss that! The weather here is beautiful and we've had a nice time. Today it's back to the OC for a wedding tomorrow and of course more on the weekend!
Wanted to share Ashley & Jason's SDE from this past Sat. It was an all-star crew for sure with Brooke from Details Details coordinating and Christopher Aldama as the designer. Joe Photo was there to take the amazing photographs and JP Reynolds officiated over the beautiful ceremony (with custom vows - I always love that!)

Wow... what a crazy week! I only have a few minutes to blog, but wanted to get these Highlights up! I haven't blogged an Original Series for awhile so it's about time!! Jaime & Drew's wedding was fantastic and we love this location (the Athenaeum at Caltech). They also got ready at the Langham Pasadena which always makes for great photos/videos! Check it out!

Amita & Rahul's Same Day Edit from the Hyatt, Long Beach
Ok - I won't go into how much I love Indian Weddings because if you read our blog, you know this already! Here is Amita & Rahul's SDE. They had an awesome wedding with coordination provided by David Yusuf and decor by Square Root. We were able to work with Yogi from Global Photography again - he's super nice! Kyle was the lead camera on this wedding and I was jealous that she got to see Oscar... one of my fav hair/makeup artists. Kyle's favorite part of the day was when flower petals were dropped from the ceiling during their first dance. So cool!!!! Congrats guys!
"Johnson & I met at St. Stephen's Green in Mountain View through mutual friends. I had to go home early that night so he took the opportunity to walk me to my car (and get my number). When we had reached my car, he was wondering why were walking to his car? It turns out that we both drive the exact same car. It was not just the same car, but same model, color, and specification! We both knew that there couldn't be a bigger sign than this!
My favorite part of wedding planning was working with my husband on almost every aspect of the wedding and and seeing all of our work come to fruition. For the big event, I always wanted a venue with a modern feel. The Rotunda at San Jose City Hall was not only modern but very chic. I was absolutely blown away when I visited the venue especially all the beautiful glass windows and high ceiling.
We incorporated many personal touches into the wedding. My sister and I made the programs, dinner menu and place cards, Johnson designed our wedding website, I designed the wedding cake, our logo was on the invitations, thank you cards, wedding website and ice sculpture, & Johnson and I chose the ceremony music, introduction song, first dance song, cake cutting song.
One of the best decisions I made during the wedding planning process had to be working with Cindy Danbom from Bella Notte Events. Especially on the day of the wedding, it gave me peace of mind that even though there were a million things happening at once she always had everything under control.
It was just amazing to share one of the most memorable day of my life with all my friends and family. It was truly an unforgettable experience. If I could give any brides advice, I would tell them to not sweat the small stuff. Have fun because it is a once in a lifetime experience!
Happy belated 4th of July to you all! Holiday weekends always bring a heavy workload of weddings and this weekend was no exception.
Max and Suzanne were married at Pelican Hill and hired us for our Arthouse Platinum service. We began the weekend filming their rehearsal on Friday night at the Pelican Grill and culminated the weekend with a sumptuous brunch on the lawn at Pelican on Sunday. Saturday was the wedding day and we were in action with a team of four and a same-day editor. Max and Suzanne met at a college football game, sparks flew and romance blossomed. He proposed in Paris and the wedding carried through a French theme with the Pelican Hill staff in French waiters’ outfits complete with berets. George and Erin from Pelican managed the event to a tee along with Max and Suzanne’s planner Kathleen Whittle Cover. Both big fans of the color purple the wedding was a lavish lavender affair as Max took control of a lot of the planning details to help arrange the wedding of Suzanne’s dreams. Yitzhak Dalal captured their still imagery with aplomb and we worked diligently to capture the massive amount of details along with the large contingent of Russian guests having a great time. The dance floor was kept packed the whole night by their band flown in from Israel for the occasion.
The wedding followed traditional Jewish lines with cocktails prior to sunset and the ceremony following immediately as the sun went down. The rotunda at Pelican was turned into a gorgeous Chuppah and the ceremony flowed with plenty of emotion. Kudos to Square Root for their décor design. Pro Audio DJ was on hand to provide the lighting and AV set up for the love story we produced, their engagement video footage that played during their first dance and then the grand finale same day edit!
I’ll admit I got a chuckle from Max’s ‘Borat’ inspired first meeting reaction as his blindfold was removed…check it out below!
Max being the master of surprises had the honeymoon planned in secret and no one knows where he is taking his lovely bride (including her!) Suzanne, I hope you enjoyed the surprise and we’re dying to hear where you are went! Thanks again for hiring us to document such a wonderful weekend. We had a lot of fun with you at one of our very favorite locations!
