Well as you can probably tell, we've been hanging out at the Langham Pasadena quite a bit! Such a beautiful hotel!
This couple was awesome. Super fun and really down to earth. They had a beautiful church ceremony (I love the Coptic tradition of treating the bride and groom like a king & queen) and then it was off to the hotel for the party. The lovely Carolyn Chen took care of all the details and the event was beautiful! Isabel Lawrence was the photography studio.. they did a great job! Happy Wednesday! I have a Same Day Edit & a Next Day Edit to blog but while they are encoding I wanted to rock the blog with Courtney & John's edit. Love this couple! These Arizona residents flew out to hold a gorgeous seaside wedding at Montage, Laguna Beach. Brooke Keegan from Details Details was the wedding planner and did a fabulous job as always. Jay Reilly took the gorgeous photos. It was the first time we've worked with him and he was amazing! Sunny from White Lilac did a lovely job with the decor... she really helped pull off the elegant beach theme. And lastly, I don't want to forget to mention Peter from Vive who always does a great job spinning the tunes!!! Contrats guys!

Megan & David's Same Day Edit from St. Regis, Monarch Beach
Check out Megan & David's Same Day Edit! This couple was LOADS of fun and this video really shows it - you have to watch until the end to see their crazy cool first dance (I will be posting the entire dance in full next week. Yes - it was THAT GOOD!). The wedding took place on the Grand Lawn of the lovely tSt. Regis. Everything went off without a hitch thanks to Jeannie and her crew at Details Details - fabulous planner! The florals were also gorgeous. Enchanted Florist always does an outstanding job. It was also super fun working with our good friend Joel from Eckman Maus Photo. He takes crazy cool photos. I'll post a link once he has some of the photos on his blog. Congrats Megan & David!

Happy Tuesday! I wanted to quickly blog Nicolette & Tom's wedding from the Langham Pasadena, (you may remember their Same Day Edit from an earlier post). The Langham is one of our very favorite LA area venues. We had a great day w/Nicolette & Tom and I absolutely loved her gown! Carolyn Chen did a fabulous job as Wedding Planner and everything looked beautiful. It was great to work with Victor Sizemore who snapped the photos. He's super talented. Congrats guys!

Alex and I are still enjoying New York City after speaking at two awesome association meetings this week... LIVA & NJVA. Awesome people!! We had a great time. Before we leave the hotel to enjoy our last day in the City, I wanted to blog about Jennifer & Josh's wedding. it's an awesome film and they picked one of our very favorite venues to hold their celebration... Rancho Las Lomas. It was a beautiful day and everything was perfect thanks to their coordinator Kim Bradford. Enjoy the movie!

Shawna & Anand's Same Day Edit from Montage, Laguna Beach
So excited to share this SDE! Shawna & Anand's wedding was held at the always fabulous Montage in Laguna. It was a lavish Indian affair with loads of color and great music. I am addicted to Indian events and this one didn't disappoint! Oscar was there to make the bride even more gorgeous than she already is. Love him! Kim Bradford was on the scene to make sure the day went off just as they planned - she did a great job! My favorite parts of the day were of course the baraat and the plane and banner that flew over cocktail hour (you'll see it in the video below). Congrats you guys!!

Erin & TJ's Same Day Edit from St. Regis Monarch Beach
Ok... I'm back and ready to blog finally! Had an amazing two weeks... first in Denver for my Grandma's 90th Birthday (will post a photo soon) and then to Austin for Re:Frame where I presented and hung out with the most amazing event filmmakers out there!! Can't wait for RF:SF!!
Anyway, on to the SDE from this past Saturday! Erin & TJ had an awesome "Old Hollywood/Jazz Club" themed wedding (that's how I describe it anyway) at the St. Regis, Monarch Beach. Christopher Aldama completely transformed one of the St. Regis ballrooms from floor to ceiling. Staged seating was even built - it was truly unique and it really captivated the feel they were going for. Jeannie from Details Details coordinated every little detail (and there were a lot of them) and the event went off flawlessly.
My favorite moments from this day include Erin's uncle who played the bagpipes before the ceremony and to intro them into cocktail hour (I get goosebumps upon hearing bagpipes!) and all the little details that symbolized their backgrounds (Irish & Japanese). The day had many touching moments and in the evening everyone experienced one of the best parties we have ever filmed. PERIOD.
I want to give a "shout-out" to Dave Cowling from DNM Video who helped us shoot! He's one of the premier videographers in Australia and it was an honor to have his assistance on the day (and hang out with him... such a great guy!!)
