Happy Thanksgiving!!

What am I thankful for this year? I'm thankful for the fact that I have no time to blog! 2009 has been a record year for Elysium. We've worked with the most amazing couples at the most amazing weddings. One of which is displayed below.

We couldn't be more blessed to be doing what I love and making happy couples even happier! I count my lucky stars every day.

2010 will bring some new and exciting changes and I can't wait to share them! One is a new pricing structure (so the time to book our 2009 pricing is now) as well as the ability to offer film alongside our HD video. I am currently working to redesign our packaging and our blog design so things will be nice and fresh and clean! I can't wait! AND... the blog will be much more active - and exciting. Just wait and see :) What I'm most excited about is our new demo reel - currently in production. It's actually been in production for quite awhile because we have so many amazing shots from so many weddings that it's hard to narrow it down! Look for the debut soon :)

Now on to this amazing wedding...

Jenny & Kevin were married at one or favorite venues in the OC... Pelican Hill. If you haven't checked it out, you need to go! (And at least have lunch there... amazing food!) We were lucky to work with the ever amazing Kerrie Underhill who did a fabulous job as Wedding Planner. Christine Farah took the photos and she was great to work with. We also had an amazing backdrop at the ceremony and reception because Nisie did her magic with the beautiful florals! It was a fabulous day!! Congrats guys!!

Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel/Same Day Edit/Mona & Sanjay

Oh my gosh! I am so behind on blogging!!! I need to clone myself. Any ideas on how to do this??

While I wait for a cloning solution, I want to share Mona & Sanjay's Same Day Edit. I am particularly proud of this edit because I mixed the track myself! It combines two songs from Slumdog Millionaire.

The wedding was stunning and so were the couple - both looked super gorgeous! Nikki Khan of Exquisite Events led the coordination and the design of this fabulous event. The Ritz-Carlton Laguna always provides an amazing backdrop and with the help of Square Root, the location was transformed into something magical. Dina from Andrena Photography was there to document the incredible day with photographs. You can check out a sneak peek here.

The Same Day Edit was shown right before the bride and groom entered the ballroom for their grand entrance. What a great way to start a party! After that, Special Occasions DJ got the party going. They do an awesome job and no one left the dancefloor!

Surf & Sand/Wedding Cinema Arthouse/Kelli & Michael

Aloha from Maui! Alex & I are on a TRUE vacation to celebrate our anniversary (since we couldn't really get away in July!) Although I'm not working this week, I wanted to briefly put something up on our blog since I've seriously been neglecting it, and so we have another awesome guest blogger! Here is Kelli & Michael's take on their big day...

"Mike and I were married on April 4th, 2009 at the beautiful Surf & Sand Resort in Laguna Beach, CA. The vision for our wedding was beach elegance and we knew right away that the Surf & Sand Resort was the perfect venue. The planning process came together effortlessly with all of our vendors understanding our personality and style. For me and Mike, the most important thing was to have our family and close friends with us to share and celebrate this milestone event in an all out amazing party!

As everyone knows, throwing a memorable event and having it go off without a hitch takes an entire team of people who work well with each other and their clients. We picked the ultimate team to pull together our wedding into something we will cherish for the rest of our lives. After seeing their work, we trucked down John and Delisa Cooper from AltF Photography all the way from Las Vegas to capture our memories with photographs. True to form their creativity and shear skill provided us with absolutely breath taking photos of our special day. Never did I think I would be climbing rocks on the beach in my wedding dress, but the photos were absolutely more than worth it! Since we had such incredible photographers to capture still frames of our day, we needed an equally incredible videographer. Elysium Productions came recommended from AltF Photography and the way their creativity fed off of each other was incredible to watch. The result was a video that we have already watched over and over again. Their professionalism and vision is incredible. One of the most important parts of a wedding is the DJ. Music sets the mood and energy level for the night and Victor Guiseppe from Invisible Touch is the best at what he does. The party was epic and the dance floor was literally separating by the end of the night. Victor created an energy like we have never seen and it is truly a wedding nobody will ever forget. Everyone can agree that wedding cakes, although usually stunningly beautiful works of art are also usually not the best tasting. We actually went into Its All About the Cake in Dana Point with the intention of getting a fake cake just for looks and having a crθme brulee served as desert, but after tasting samples of the wedding cakes they make we completely changed our mind. Not only did Its All About the Cake provide us with exactly the look we wanted, but honestly some of the best cake we have ever tasted to boot! Melinda Dunn came highly recommended from the Surf & Sand for flowers and we can see why. Her vision was right on par with what we wanted and she gave us more than we could have hoped for and stayed within our budget. Whitney Urichuk from One Luv did an amazing job on makeup making all of the girls in the wedding look stunningly beautiful. Lastly, a personal highlight for me as the bride was having my aunt Diana Walthers doing the hair for myself and all of the girls in the wedding. Thanks Aunt Di for making me a beautiful bride! The mix of vendors was the absolute perfect recipe to make an absolutely perfect day and we would not change a single thing." - Kelli Bonanni

Congrats you guys... we LOVED working with you!!
