Alex & I are in Denver where we spent Thanksgiving with the family. (This is where I grew up). I will be posting more videos later this week but thought I'd take a moment to post some photos taken on our iPhones... the coolest invention EVER!!! Here is the first one... it's my sister and my new niece (whom I met for the first time this trip). She is seriously the most cutest baby ever!!!!
We stayed with my Aunt & Uncle who live up in the foothills. They have deer and elk around the neighborhood every day! How cool is that? On our way down to my parents house this morning, Alex took this pic. They are kind of hard to see as they blend in with the houses behind. They were just right off the road and didn't seem to be skiddish at all!
OK, so the only drawback of the iPhone is that it doesn't have a video camera, and it doesn't have a flash. :( But here's a photo of us at the Superdome where we went to a Saints game with Terry when we were in New Orleans. We were in the VERY LAST ROW on the 50 yard line. The Budweiser stand was literally right behind us so all we had to do was turn around to get a beer. it was quite handy :)

OK so this wedding was probably one of the most fun events we've filmed this year! Alice and Sam are hilarious and know how to have a good time (not to mention throw a great party!). Their big day was all about sharing their joy for life with their family and friends. It all went down at the St. Regis Monarch Beach with Details Details in charge of... the details (sorry had to do it). Jessica Claire mastered the pics... check out more photos on her blog. All in all it was an event we will never forget! Here are their highlights (to one of my very favorite songs):

And you have to stay and watch this little segment... I don't think I've ever seen better entertainment at a wedding! (sorry for the poor quality encode... I will re-encode it when I come back into the studio after Thanksgiving!)
I couldn't wait to blog about this one! Amber and Andy's wedding was not only absolutely gorgeous but it was also a BLAST to film! Andy is Greek and they were married in a fantastic Greek Orthodox church in Long Beach. I always love these ceremonies... the churches always have amazing artwork and the ceremony is full of tradition. After the ceremony, it was off to the St. Regis where Barbara Wallace brought Amber & Andy's vision alive. The room looked incredible! Throughout the night, people kept coming onto the dance floor to shower Amber & Andy with money... a Greek tradition. I loved the band they hired for their reception: Knyghtryder... can you guess what kind of music they played? Lauren Hillary had the photos covered. She is awesome and so fun to work with! Congratulations Amber & Andy!

Wow... Sunday brought another incredible event! Brett & Steve traveled from Chicago to get married at Montage in Laguna Beach. And what an event it was! Everything was just amazing... from the abundant orchids, to the unique double layer table-tops, this wedding was full of surprises! Even when the reception was starting to wind down... more surprises appeared including a cigar roller and custom chocolate lollipops - each with a photo of a particular guest! This was another wedding where all the people were just amazing. The families were so great! The bride and groom were so excited to get married and you can see their emotion when they first saw each other before the ceremony. It was an extra special day because it was the father of the bride's birthday so he received a special cake during the reception. We were privileged to work with the great hotel staff who made sure all the logistics were perfect, as well as Victor Sizemore whom we see so often that we can almost finish each other's sentences! Pro Audio provided the lighting which was "off the hook". There were even LED's built into the tables! Speaking of tables, Square Root pulled out all the stops with the decor design! Congratulations Brett & Steve and thanks for allowing us to be part of your AMAZING day!

Saturday's wedding was an absolute joy to film! Heather & Mark love fall so they decided to get married in November and use rich fall shades for their color palate. At first I was worried that it would rain because that's what the forecast called for, but it turned out to be a beautiful day... not even a cloud in the sky! The ceremony took place at South Shores Church and the reception was held at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel. The day went super smooth - mainly because we had a great couple to work with and a great team of fantastic vendors! Paula Laskelle from Champagne Taste did an incredible job helping to make Heather & Mark's dream wedding come to life! She is always GREAT to work with. Larry Crandall was the photographer extraordinaire. We made a great team "chasing the sunlight" to get great shots! Nisie from Enchanted Florist provided the amazing floral decor and one of our very favorite DJ's, Peter from Vive, spun the tunes. Heather & Mark love to dance and they (along w/all their guests) rarely left the dance floor! But my favorite thing about this wedding is how close both families are. Everyone had so much love for this couple that it was almost electric. Goosebumps!!!

Here is the video from Day Two! The weather today was perfect and everyone had a great time experimenting w/lighting against the gorgeous (and very unique) backdrop! Jessica Claire & [b]ecker came up to hang out w/the group which made the day even more fun.
