Check out this lovely couple who traveled from Texas to Santa Barbara to have their beautiful wedding at the Bacara Resort & Spa! I loved the color scheme & design at the wedding. Very stylish! We were thrilled to work with Rebecca of Imagine Weddings & Special events who coordinated everything for the happy couple. She is a pro and does amazing work! We were also able to work with Mulberry Photo who were super fun and took great photos. Check them out here on their blog! As you can see we also shot their rehearsal dinner which was filled with emotional and fun speeches. All in all, it was a beautiful day at the Bacara and we were so excited to film this memorable event!

I'm proud to blog Alena & John's SDE from the Ritz-Carlton. Check out how the fog rolled in. It was a really cool setting! The fabulous Kelley Lee Gin coordinated their big day. She's super fun & awesome to work with! Jessica Claire shot the photos which I'm sure she'll have up on her blog soon. I believe it was her first wedding she shot after her own! Congrats Alena & John!!

Melinda is a fellow videographer and a very good friend. Some of you might recognize her because every once in a awhile when she's not filming her own events, she helps us out at weddings. Ever since I have known her, Melinda has always been on the lookout for that special someone. No one ever quite met her expectations and I always thought she was being too picky. I would always say things like "give the guy a chance why don't ya!!" but then she met Rex and let me tell you, things changed. Melinda & I were part of the all female video crew that shot a wedding in Qatar last December. All I heard during the 16 hour or so flight was "Rex this, and Rex that" and I swear she practically had googly eyes!!! I knew she had found THE ONE. The perfect match for her.
On the wedding day, it was hard to hold back the emotions while seeing someone so close to me get married. It ended up being an absolute beautiful day in San Clemente. I couldn't believe how they lucked out with the weather as the big storm moved in yesterday! Melinda had planned the whole event and as she's more of a tom boy than a girly girl, I was a bit skeptical about how it would turn out. Little did I know, Melinda has some serious talent as an event designer because everything from the linens to the caterer (24 Carrot) were top notch. My favorite element was the cake topper that she had made of her and Rex and their beloved dogs. I have to find out the company and will post their details here!
On a side note, I wanted to mention the amazing photographer we worked with: Mark Brooke. Of course Rex being a professional photographer, they were quite picky about who they hired to document their day in photos. Mark's photos were absolutely beautiful and stay tuned to his blog where I'm sure they'll be posted soon.
Below is the Same Day Edit that we did for them. Kyle had a great time editing it. Special thanks to Cathy for helping us shoot!!

Thomas & Jennifer's Same Day Edit from the Four Seasons B.H.
Well I've been meaning to blog this one for quite awhile! I can't believe it's taken me this long. Jennifer & Thomas were married at the gorgeous Four Seasons Beverly Hills. Michelle from Details Details was the amazing planner and the Apertura team was there to photograph the event. The beautiful florals were done by Sunny at White Lilac.

Jennifer & Josh's Arthouse Edit from the St. Regis
Happy Tuesday! We have another guest blogger today! Enjoy!
"Josh and I got married in May, 2009 at the beautiful St. Regis Resort in Dana Point, CA. While we met and fell in love in California, the vast majority of our guests were from the Midwest and East coast. Therefore, it was especially important to us that our location be at a vacation resort, our weekend be packed with events, and that everyone walk away happy that they had made the long journey to join us in California for our big day.
The festivities started off with a bridal luncheon on Friday at Las Brisas restaurant for the girls and a golf tournament at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Golf Links course for the boys. Following a fabulous rehearsal dinner in the St. Regis' wine cave for the wedding party, we hosted our version of a welcome open house in the presidential suite at the St. Regis. Guests enjoyed hors devours and cocktails in the spacious indoor/outdoor setting while enjoying the fabulous view of the St. Regis pools, golf course, and the stunning ocean. Saturday morning, wedding day, began with an early morning 5K "Dash to the Altar" run/walk for our guests that took them along the St. Regis grounds and the beautiful Laguna bluffs and coastline. Saturday evening's ceremony on the Grand Lawn at the St. Regis was immediately followed by cocktails on the terrace to an instrumental medley of California music and then a fantastic fun-filled reception in the Monarch ballroom. Since our focus was on our guests having a fabulous time, we arranged the timing of our reception to reflect a dance party with food rather than the traditional dinner party with dancing. What a fantastic decision! The California wedding weekend concluded with Josh and I sending our guests off with a full belly :) and a giant thank you at our al fresco "Morning After Champagne Brunch" held Sunday at Club 19 at the St. Regis. We could not have been happier with the entire weekend and the opportunity to share our love with our friends and family.
Our most cherished memories include watching the triplets walk ALL the way down the aisle, our unbelievable band that kept everyone both amazed and dancing all night long (who knew they could play songs that just came on the radio one week prior to the event!), our fantastic silhouette artist's favors, our adorable welcome bags complete with whimsical Laguna Beach maps, the navy skirts on our head table chairs, the lighting and draping, all the AMAZING flowers, and finally, ending our night dancing to the song California encircled by our guests. We were just so fortunate to begin the rest of our life together at such a fabulous and beautiful party surrounded by our most cherished friends and family. The weekend was nothing short of perfect!! But perhaps my most fantastic memory of all was having both the opportunity and solitude to watch the guests arriving at the wedding and Josh and his groomsmen lining up undetected from above in the presidential suite. It is both a feeling and a memory that I will never ever forget: one of sheer and utter gratitude.
Thank you to all of my unparalleled vendors that made our wedding day beautiful, elegant, and most importantly, fun for all whom attended. Thanks to our wedding planner, Jeannie Savage, the day went by smoothly, neither Josh nor I had a care in the world, and I can honestly say we had the time of our life!! THANK YOU!! And thank you to each and everyone of our family and friends who chose to share their time with us on our biggest day. We love you!
Now it's time to enjoy our life as husband and wife... with fantastic photographs from Ben Chrisman, a gorgeous ceremony painting by Rich Flynn (he finished it by 10PM!!), and an unbelievable video from Elysium productions to continue to remind us of our love, commitment, and our fabulous wedding day from this day forward!"

Sayeh & Esmo are our guest bloggers for today! Check out their gorgeous wedding - they were such a fun couple to work with!!
"Our wedding was a gorgeous day filled with bliss, love and laughter. A day two cultures joined, not to mention partied the night away. We loved everything from the symbolisms of who we are as artists, friends and lovers to the perfect mix of creativity, zen and nature. It was a milestone event that we are very thankful to have shared with our families and friends. Our fondest memories include our nieces and nephews who walked down the aisle together (and didn’t cry!), Sayeh’s grandparent’s tears of joy, Esmoreit’s father’s philosophical speech, so many family members who traveled from afar, and our belly dancers.
From the beginning of the wedding planning, we decided not to plan a wedding but a party celebrating our love, cultures and future. Our vendors were selected because of their talents and personalities as well as their ability to take our vision and run with it without having us managing them. All we wanted to do was to show up to our party!
Though it took a while getting use to the terms “wife and husband”, it’s great being married especially to someone you consider your best friend. Now we look forward to more adventures that we will experience together as a married couple."
